YES - all of our cakes are totally VEGAN. We don't use eggs, dairy or other animal products in any of our cakes, and never will.
No, sorry, orders are for collection only, from our Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge kitchen (HX7 5AB). We can *sometimes* deliver very locally. For wedding cakes we offer a delivery and set-up service to your venue (charge depending on distance).
Our life revolves around cake, so we are open 7 days by appointment for collection of cakes and wedding cake tastings, or other consultations. We can post simple cakes nationwide.
We are at 35 White Houses, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX7 5AB. We are approx 1 mile from the centre of Hebden Bridge. There's parking right outside. We're diagonally opposite the Asda filling station (formerly Co op) on Burnley Road (A629).
We are a Vegan bakery and not a free-from bakery per se. All our cakes vegan and are free from dairy and eggs and all other animal-derived ingredients. We do use several common allergens in the kitchen: soya, nuts (including occasionally peanut), sesame, wheat, gluten, mustard, sulphites, celery. Some of the ingredients we use state on the label that the manufacturer cannot guarantee the absence of certain allergens (eg milk, egg, nut - when manufactured in a facility where these products are used). Currently, our default recipe uses buttercream containing 0.3% almond oil; this can be substituted for a different recipe on request (though this may affect the finish of your cake). We can avoid the use of sensitive ingredients where requested, such as soya; sunflower; wheat; gluten; nuts. We regret that, for severe allergy sufferers, we cannot guarantee the absence of an allergen. Allergies must be declared at the time of ordering.
Nope, we are delighted to say that all of our cakes are palm oil free! Great for all the animals.
Yes... depending on what you mean by sugar-free! We have a new range of cakes without any refined sugar. Instead, we use a small amount of unrefined organic rapadura sugar and also sweet potatoes in our sponges, and dates to sweeten the buttercream.
You can now order a cake and pay directly from this website! Alternatively, if you prefer the traditional method, please fill in this form to get in touch with Helen. Once we have discussed your requirements and agreed the size, flavour, design of the cake and confirmed with you the price, plus a convenient time for collection on the day, we'll send you an order confirmation invoice which confirms all the agreed details. You can pay this online by card or by bank transfer, and once payment is received your order is fully booked in, and we'll see you on collection day.
